The weaving center is open Monday through Thursday during class sessions. Fall classes begin on September 22nd and run through December 4th. The weaving center is closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The director’s hours are 2:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and the director can be reached via email at grandac@milwaukee.k12.wi.us or by calling (414)267-5771.
Open weave is available to registered weavers with an active project on a loom for a fee of $3.00. Weavers must be experienced and capable of weaving without instructor oversight as there is no weaving instruction for open weave. Open weave is not available to beginning weavers. November 2025 open weave hours are 3:00-8:00 11/24 and 25. The weaving center is closed November 26-30. December open weave hours are 2:30-8:00 on 12/1 through 12/4; 2:30-6:00 on 12/8 and 9; 2:30-7:30 on 12/10, 2:30-6:00 on 12/11; 2:30-6:00 on 12/15 and 12/17-18. There is no open weave on Tuesday, December 16. ABK will be closed from December 22 through January 2, and open weave will resume again after the start of winter classes.
